Mission Statement:
The GLC exists for students to educate each other about the injustices
taking place in our society and the world; and to share and develop the
skills it takes to address these injustices, while building a student
network that brings the macro-level, global issues into our everyday,
micro-level experiences. It stresses doing this in a way that is
self-reflective, builds productive dialogues, and addresses oppression and
privilege in our selves, our organizations and the institutions of our
society.
Ending oppression and injustice are our intentions;
Educating, networking and direct action are our processes;
And community empowerment, accountability and reciprocal relationships are
our methods. |
